Dietary Services

Our dietary department focuses on providing the best quality food service for all of our residents, patients and visitors. We intend to design our services to be delivered in a congenial atmosphere, with the highest quality of nutritional care to enhance healing and quality of life for everyone we serve.

Litzenberg Hospital is pleased to offer our Acute Care in-patients "Room Service Dining". Our Room Service menu is designed to offer variety and flexibility. Meals are freshly prepared to meet your specific diet needs at your prefered dining times. Your order will be delivered directly to your room.

In our Long Term Care area we feature Fine Dining. Residents are able to sleep until their usual time to awake. Breakfast is served to each one as they arrive in the dining room. Trays may be served in the resident's room according to the resident's individual needs. As one would do at home, residents are served foods and beverages of their preference. At the noon and evening meals we have a wide variety of choices with the use of selective menus. Choices are frequently made at the table as the meal is being served. Snacks are served between meals, often as part of the planned activities; for those not participating in an activity, snacks are offered in the resident's room.

Our resident dining room is also used for hospital patients in Swing Bed status, as part of their rehabilitation and recovery process.

Meal times are:
Breakfast - Open Dining
Noon Meal - 12:00 p.m.
Evening Meal - 6:00 pm

Our meals are planned to mirror the delicious home cooked food that is enjoyed by everyone in our community. Family members and guests are encouraged to dine with our resident in their dining room!
